She also goes beyond the school day, attending after-school events to cheer on students and stay connected with families. Known for her follow-through and thoughtful leadership, Sarah ensures ideas turn into action and that every staff member feels heard, valued and supported.

Դվ Unified will again be hosting the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), which offers nutritious meals to children in our community during the summer.

The SFSP, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, provides nutritious meals to children during the summer when free and reduced-price school meals are typically unavailable. Free meals will be made available to children 18 years of age and under. Persons over 18 years of age who are determined by a state or local public educational agency to be mentally or physically disabled, and who also participate in a public or private non-profit school program during the regular school year, may also receive free meals.

The following locations will be serving free meals this summer:

Brass Elementary

  • Dates:  6/16 – 7/23
  • Breakfast:  7:45 – 8:15 a.m.
  • Lunch:  11:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Grant Elementary

  • Dates:  6/16 – 7/23
  • Breakfast:  7:45 – 8:15 a.m.
  • Lunch:  None

Bullen Middle

  • Dates:  6/16 – 7/23
  • Breakfast:  7:45 – 8:15 a.m.
  • Lunch:  None

Washington Middle

  • Dates:  6/16 – 7/23
  • Breakfast:  7:45 – 8:15 a.m.
  • Lunch:  None

 

*Please note: Meals will not be served on Fridays

All Meals MUST be consumed on site.

Meals are provided to eligible children regardless of race, color, national origin, age, gender or disability and there will be no discrimination in the course of meal service.

“This program fills a void created when school lunches are not available,” said Emily Riedler. “Helping parents meet the nutritional needs of their children is the strength of this program.”

Mason came in swinging, quickly building strong relationships with students by greeting them in the morning and making meaningful connections. While approachable and supportive, he also holds students accountable with high expectations that help them stay focused and motivated.

When a colleague was out on maternity leave, Mason stepped right in and kept the class moving forward. He’s always willing to help, collaborate and share resources, making him a valued partner to both students and staff.

Celebrate your child’s achievement and show your school pride by displaying a milestone yard sign! 🎓🏫

Families can purchase yard signs to recognize 5th grade promotion, 8th grade promotion, and graduating seniors. Even better, a portion of the proceeds from every sign purchased goes directly back to the specific school, helping support students and school programs.

Order Information:
Visit  by Thursday, April 30, to place an order.

Pickup Information:
Orders will be available for pickup at schools beginning May 18. If you are ordering signs for students at multiple schools, please note your preferred pickup location when placing the order. Դվ Spiritwear will send all your signs to that single location to make pickup easier.

Note: Schools must have 12 or more orders to process orders. If fewer than 12 orders are received, Դվ Spiritwear will issue refunds for pending orders.

(Monday, March 9, 2026) – The Դվ Unified School Դվ will host the Southeastern Wisconsin School Music Association Դվ Solo and Ensemble Festival on Saturday, March 28, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Tremper High School, 8560 26th Ave.

This event, co-sponsored by WSMA, spotlights students from all KUSD secondary schools with more than 800 individual and small-group adjudicated events. Events are adjudicated by musicians certified through and contracted by WSMA. Festival events are divided into classifications of A, B and C according to the required skill level of the music performed, with Class A being the most difficult. Musical selections are chosen from an approved list developed by WSMA.

Student performances are evaluated using the WSMA performance rubric, which is divided into several musical sub-categories. The overall performances will be scored as a composite of the ratings earned in each of the rubric’s sub-categories. All participants will receive performance evaluations from the judges. Students receiving a superior rating in Class A competition who satisfy specific qualitative and quantitative performance criteria will be eligible to advance to the State Solo and Ensemble Festival on Saturday, May 2, at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

The success of this event relies heavily on volunteer participation. Individuals interested in supporting this student activity can for one or more of the positions and shifts listed.

This event is free and open to the public. It will feature various solo performances and ensembles, from duets and trios to madrigal groups and alternative string, brass, woodwind, jazz and percussion ensembles.
