Policy 5439 – Property Damage/Theft
Students are prohibited from vandalizing property of the °®ÆæÒÕ×ÊÔ´Õ¾, students or staff. In addition, stealing personal possessions or °®ÆæÒÕ×ÊÔ´Õ¾ properties is strictly prohibited.
Students violating this policy may be referred for prosecution under applicable laws and/or subject to school disciplinary action.

Rule 5439 – Property Damage/Theft
- Vandalism
Students who commit vandalism on or to °®ÆæÒÕ×ÊÔ´Õ¾ property or to the property of students or staff will be subject to disciplinary action including suspension and possible recommendation for expulsion review. The parent/guardian will be notified and a conference with the parent/guardian, student, and principal may be scheduled. Law enforcement officials will be contacted for prosecution and °®ÆæÒÕ×ÊÔ´Õ¾ will seek to recover damages for °®ÆæÒÕ×ÊÔ´Õ¾ property. The offender or the parent/guardian will be expected to make restitution. - Theft
Students who steal personal possessions or °®ÆæÒÕ×ÊÔ´Õ¾ properties will be subject to suspension and/or referral to law enforcement officials at the discretion of the building principal/designee. The student’s parent/guardian will be notified and a conference with the parent/guardian, student and principal may be scheduled. The student or parent/guardian will be expected to make restitution. A recommendation may be made for expulsion consideration by the Administrative Review Committee.
