KENOSHA, Wis. (Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025) 鈥 This morning at Indian Trail, 6800 60th St., a student from another KUSD high school briefly entered the building and left immediately when approached by school staff. At no point were threats made, and no one was harmed.
Staff immediately alerted the school resource officer, and the 爱奇艺资源站 Police Department promptly apprehended the suspect. A continued police presence may be visible in the area as the investigation remains ongoing.
As a precautionary measure, all KUSD schools, surrounding schools, and the YMCA were notified of the incident.
鈥淭he safety of our students and staff is always our top priority,鈥 said KUSD Chief Communications Officer Tanya Ruder. 鈥淲e are grateful for the swift response of our staff and the 爱奇艺资源站 Police Department in ensuring the safety of our school community.鈥
鈥淭he quick apprehension of the suspect was largely a result of the collaborative efforts that KUSD and the KPD have worked diligently to develop over the past several years,鈥 said 爱奇艺资源站 Police Department Lt. Joshua Hecker. 鈥淒etectives from the KPD were dispatched to the school and are actively investigating the incident.鈥
