Reuther students apply math, physics to rocket launches

Reuther Central High School students reached new heights during this year’s rocket launch event! Students put their math skills into action by collecting real-world data to model parabolic trajectories in Algebra 1 and using trigonometry and special right triangles in Geometry to calculate rocket heights.

While not every launch went as planned, the experience provided valuable learning opportunities and plenty of successful launches. Hands-on learning like this helps bring classroom concepts to life and shows students the power of applying their knowledge in the real world! 🚀
