Washington Middle School 7th grade scientists in Ms. Witt’s class have been investigating the chemical reactions behind MRE flameless heaters. They tested household ingredients to determine which combinations produced the largest temperature change in their own heater designs.
The winning reaction? Root killer + aluminum foil created the largest increase in temperature! Now they鈥檙e excited to see if it will power their homemade flameless heaters. 馃尅锔
